CICCE-Sponsored Student Delegation Visits Nation’s Capital
In April 2017, the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement sponsored a trip to Washington, D.C., which included a delegation of 25 students and five CICCE staff members. The delegation consisted of a wide variety of students including those who had never been on an airplane, had never been to the nation’s capital, and even those who had never been outside the state of Mississippi. MOST Conference Provides Resources, Guidance for Potential Students
During summer 2017, the University of Mississippi and the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement hosted its annual Mississippi Outreach to Scholastic Talent, or MOST, Conference for rising high school seniors. Tanya M. Nichols brings wealth of knowledge and experience to new role
Tanya M. Nichols, Ph.D., was named project manager for the UM Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. Nichols’ interests include the impact of discrimination and all forms of microaggressions and oppression on college adjustment and university employee satisfaction, and she said she’s excited about applying her passion for social justice at a more systemic and universitywide level within higher education.
