The Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College (SMBHC) would love to receive your application for consideration.  Being a member of the SMBHC provides access to opportunities like dining with prominent professionals, funding for research, studying abroad, and conference travel, discussing interesting topics in small honors classes along with other perks like priority registration and free printing. Check out the SMBHC’s Instagram account @umhoco and the Honors College Minority Engagement Club’s account @umhoco_mec. Take your time when filling out the application, and let a friend or teacher read your essays before you hit submit! Remember, ours is a holistic admissions process. We do not require a minimun standardized test score or GPA for consideration. If you are driven to find solutions to today’s problems, and care about your community, we would love for you to consider our program.
