IMPACT Peer Mentoring Program

The University of Mississippi’s Persistence and Completion Together (IMPACT) program was established in 2021 with a grant from the Woodward Hines Education Foundation. The program seeks to improve outcomes for collegiate Mississippians by increasing access to one-on-one coaching from professional success coaches and peer mentors, providing funding for participants to take advantage of engaging learning opportunities, and assisting participants with complete grants to help reduce financial barriers to staying in school.

IMPACT functions as a partnership between the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement (CICCE), Center for Student Success and First Year Experience, Office of College Programs, and the Office of the Provost that seeks to support the success of participating students.

The IMPACT Peer Mentoring Program, administered by the CICCE provides peer mentoring to sophomore students. Upperclassmen mentors work with their respective mentoring cohorts through weekly one-on-one meetings, workshops, and email communications to provide support and strategies to help students navigate college’s academic and social environment.
